Friday February 18th at 9:00 a.m. – Fairbank Lake
Walden Sno Runners Snowarama For Easter Seals Kids Snowmobile Ride
Walden Sno Runners is planning a snowmobile Club Ride in support of the 2022 Snowarama For Easter Seals Kids. The Snowarama ride will not be doing the Moose loop at 8:00 a.m. on Friday the 18th but, instead, we will now be leaving Fairbank Lake at 9:00 a.m. on the 18th. The ride will be to Cartier, stop for lunch at Kelly’s Family Diner, and then return. The Diner in Cartier can easily accommodate groups of 15 people and they sell premium fuel.
As this is a fundraiser for Easter Seals Kids, any donations would be greatly appreciated, with 100% of the proceeds going directly to Snowarama for Easter Seals Kids on behalf of the Walden Sno Runners.
In order to minimize the exposure to high traffic on the trails on the weekends we are planning on running the event on a weekday. The date we have chosen for the event is Friday February 18th. The departure time for the event is 9:00 a.m. on Fairbank Lake in front of the Fairbank Lake Resort. Riders who wish to join up with the group along the proposed route instead of starting at Fairbank Lake are welcome to do so.
In the event that Mother Nature doesn’t cooperate, the alternate date for the ride is Friday February 25th, same time, same place.
Please respond to this e-mail with your intentions no later than Wednesday February 16th so that we can call ahead with numbers for a dining reservation in Cartier. Contact either Stan Fenton at Stanfenton@gmail.com,or myself, Bernie Arseneau at Berniearseneau1@gmail.com.
Walden Sno Runners would like to take this opportunity to thank you for your continued support of Snowarama for Easter Seals Kids
Unfortunately, due to restrictions related to COVID-19, we will be unable to hold the in-person Sudbury Snowarama event that we all know and love. But don’t worry; Easter Seals Ontario will be hosting Snowarama virtually this winter for your area. This means riders can still get out and enjoy the trails while connecting with the Snowarama community and supporting children with physical disabilities.
This year, all our Snowaramas are working together toward a combined goal of raising $100,000.
Funds raised at the Sudbury Snowarama will help provide children with physical disabilities with essential mobility and communication equipment, as well as summer camping opportunities at Easter Seals’ two fully accessible camps. It can cost families up to $40,000 a year to raise a child with a physical disability and most families can’t do it on their own. Your support is greatly appreciated.
Your support will have a significant impact on the lives of Easter Seals kids and their families.
Our thanks to you!
As a thank you for supporting Easter Seals kids during this very challenging time, anyone who raises a minimum of $100 will receive a toque and glove set courtesy of Fast Eddie Speedwear!
So why, wait? Register today and start fundraising!
If you’re a past Snowarama participant, you can sign up under your usual location. If you’re a new rider, you can sign up under the location of choice.
